Autumn is the best time for ceremonial sauna sessions but also a time for inward-looking offerings: "Spirit on the Mountain" with monks, philosophers, poets, Zen and yoga masters. Only around the holidays at the end of October and beginning of November, there is bustling activity on our alpine meadows. Children are on school break, and for the first time after the summer holidays, it's "Family Time at Feuerberg." Later, it becomes quieter and more contemplative.

Every year in November, we invite you to a special event: the Festival of Chefs. Since 2010, highly acclaimed chefs from the Alpe-Adria region join us on Gerlitzen Alpe. Together with the kitchen team of the Mountain Resort, they create exquisite dishes for our guests.
In addition, we bring together outstanding producers of culinary delights. Cheesemakers, truffle hunters, delicacies manufacturers, top-class winemakers. Every day is a gastronomic extravaganza! Over the years, the Festival has become the culinary highlight of the Feuerberg year.
Autumn snow
White splendor, already in autumn? That can happen at 1,769 meters above sea level. Rarely in September, but more likely in October and November. Just a moment ago, it was still summer, and suddenly the mountain is all white. No problem - on the contrary.
Because from hikes, you can easily transition to snowshoe tours, and the equipment for that is available - free of charge for our guests - at the resort. Sturdy shoes and weather-appropriate clothing should be in your luggage anyway during autumn. And: As quickly as the snow arrives, it's almost always gone again - in autumn. Suddenly, it's pleasantly warm again on our alpine meadows.
