Autumn above the clouds at Feuerberg

Vibrant colors, soft light. Earthy notes blend into the still strong scent of the alpine meadows, late blooms delight the eyes and the heart. "Indian Summer" on Gerlitzen Alpe. We relax in a deck chair, in the spacious outdoor area, soaking in the light, warmth, and love. Not just for winter. Autumn is the best time for ceremonial sauna sessions but also a time for inward-looking offerings: "Spirit on the Mountain" with philosophers, Zen and yoga masters. And for our original Japanese tea ceremony. Highlights in autumn: The Festival of Chefs and the Saunafestival. Above the Mountain Resort, there is a charming calmness during autumn. Couples enjoy the rare intimacy. Only around the holidays at the end of October and beginning of November, there is bustling activity on our alpine meadows. Children are on school break, and for the first time after the summer holidays, it's "Family Time at Feuerberg." Later, it becomes quieter and more contemplative.

"A blanket of snow already in autumn? At 1,769 metres above sea level, it can happen. Rarely in September, but more often in October and November. One moment it still feels like summer – and suddenly the whole mountain is covered in white. No problem at all – quite the opposite. Hiking trails can easily turn into snowshoe tours, with the equipment available free of charge for our guests at the resort. Sturdy footwear and weatherproof clothing are a good idea to pack for autumn anyway. And just as quickly as the snow arrives, it usually disappears again – especially in autumn.”
