Culinary partners
“Taste isn't everything! It's the vitality of our food that makes it valuable to us humans. That's why we at Feuerberg work so intensively with regional biodynamic producers and are obsessed with bringing only the best food to the table with as little chichi & trallala as possible. Instead, they are valuable and honest in taste.” - Erwin Berger
We work with over 100 small-scale producers around the Feuerberg and in the region.
For example, we source some of our breads and sweet treats from the Hefehaus in Feldkirchen, a small organic artisan bakery. The breakfast egg comes from the happiest chickens in Carinthia, from the “5-star chicken hotel” of the Obereder family's Schnitzer organic farm in Gnesau. Our organic hay milk cheese comes from Radenthein - more precisely from the Kaslab'n cheese dairy. Our Feuerberg forest honey, which is produced in beehives directly below the resort in the last bend of the Gerlitzen-Alpenstraße, is also something very special. This is just a very small selection of our regional partners. You can read more under the following link:

Massages & cosmetic
In our MEIN SEIN wellness center, you can enjoy soothing massages and beauty treatments. Our wellness team is enthusiastically dedicated to methods that touch us on all levels and have a holistic effect. Treatments that connect us with life. They lead us into silence, give us deep inner peace and a particularly blissful form of relaxation.
MEIN SEIN wellnesscenter
Being at the Feuerberg offers the opportunity to rise above everyday life. In fast-moving times of constant availability, when deadlines are pressing and many different demands are placed on us, we often feel torn apart. We may hardly feel ourselves anymore, fall into a mode of “functioning” and reach our limits - the living part of us, the feeling, falls by the wayside. That's why we call MEIN SEIN our wellness center and support people in returning to their BEING.
Massages have an effect that goes far beyond physical well-being. Through careful and loving touch, we come back into deep contact with ourselves and are touched by ourselves again. A conscious awareness of our body and good self-perception form an important foundation for a conscious and loving approach to ourselves, for health, well-being, harmony, satisfaction and an improved quality of life.
Night in the forest - a special kind of outdoor experience
When was the last time you did something for the first time? With our Forest Bedroom, you can experience a unique outdoor highlight in summer. Spend a night in the forest, suspended above the forest floor in hanging tents, while listening to the untouched sounds of nature. The next morning, you’ll wake up to the first rays of sunlight, crisp mountain air, and peaceful birdsong. A truly extraordinary experience!
The Forest Bedroom is weather-dependent and can therefore only be booked on short notice. You are welcome to inquire about this experience at our reception until the evening before your desired date during your stay.
Onsen Pool
Some of our suites feature a Sky Onsen on the balcony. The Sky Onsen pool is half a meter deep and contains water from our in-house Blumenalm spring. The water temperature is 38 degrees.
Opening hours
The Mountain Resort Feuerberg is open continuously from 24th May 2024, to 30th March 2025. We will reopen on 6th June 2025, to begin the summer season above the clouds. Each season at Feuerberg has its own unique magic and carries a special charm. In spring, when nature slowly awakens from its winter slumber and is bathed in a lush, bright green; in summer, when the flowers display their full splendor; in autumn, when the larches turn golden and we watch the sun rise above the sea of clouds hanging over the valley; or in winter, when Feuerberg transforms into a snow-covered wonderland.

Tick protection
A tick vaccination is generally recommended for spending time in nature. However, the vaccination is not mandatory. Due to our location at an altitude of 1,769 meters above sea level, ticks are very rare in our area.
Toll ticket
You will pass the toll station about halfway along the Gerlitzen Alpine Road. The toll ticket is included in the price for our day guests and hotel guests. Please take a ticket at the barrier on arrival. If you drive into the valley during your stay or for your departure, you will receive an exit ticket at reception.
Traveling with a baby
The following equipment is available free of charge upon request: crib bed, babyphone, safety rail for bunk beds, stair gate in the chalet, kettle, bottle warmer, diaper pail, and changing mat.
Children aged 3 and older feel particularly comfortable on the mountain. Please note that many hiking trails are difficult to navigate with a stroller. Subject to availability, you can borrow a child carrier backpack for hiking from the reception.
Traveling with a handicap
The hotel and chalets have developed over generations and therefore do not feature a barrier-free design. The hotel rooms, restaurant, kids club, and some of the saunas and pools are located on the ground floor or accessible by elevator.
The alpine area surrounding the resort, as well as the hiking trails, are only very limitedly accessible by wheelchair. Additionally, all chalets can only be reached via steps.
We kindly ask for your understanding that our Mountain Resort Feuerberg is not equipped to be fully accessible for individuals with disabilities.
There are a small number of disabled-friendly rooms at the resort. For more information, please contact our reservations team on +43 4248 2880 or kontakt@. feuerberg.at

Weather & temperature
Find out the current weather at Feuerberg or the Gerlitzen Alpe here.
Feuerberg is located at the end of the 12.5 km long Gerlitzen Panorama Alpine Road. Please note that this road requires snow chains in winter and is only passable with appropriate winter equipment.
Keep in mind that the Mountain Resort Feuerberg is situated at an altitude of 1,769 meters above sea level. Temperatures on the Gerlitzen Alpe are typically 5-10 degrees cooler than in the valley. However, on sunny days, this temperature difference is hardly noticeable due to the intensity of the mountain sunshine. This makes the use of sunscreen even more important.
Winter temperatures: Generally, temperatures drop by 1 degree per 200 meters of altitude, resulting in an approximate difference of 7 degrees. However, during an inversion weather situation, it is possible for the valley to be colder than the mountain due to a cold air inversion with fog.
Weddings at Feuerberg
It is possible to celebrate your wedding at the Feuerberg on a small scale or to a limited extent. Please note, however, that this depends on capacity utilization and availability. Further information about planning and prices can be obtained after individual consultation. Please send your request by e-mail to kontakt@. feuerberg.at
WI-FI
As our guest, you will receive complimentary access to our in-house Wi-Fi for the duration of your stay. However, we would like to point out that due to the location of the resort, network fluctuations may occur, and consistent signal quality cannot be guaranteed in all areas.
Winter sports
The Mountain Resort Feuerberg is located directly within the Gerlitzen Alpe ski area during winter. However, skiing isn’t the only reason to enjoy outdoor sports—there are countless other activities to explore, such as snowshoeing, winter hiking, sledding, snow tubing, and much more.
On-site, you can use our interactive “Erlebnis-Reich” to explore various ski routes, hiking trails, and other activities, as well as gather tips and recommendations. Of course, our reception team is always happy to assist you with advice and suggestions.
